Three.do changelog
Version 1.2
May 6, 2019
The 1.2 update comes with lots of improvements and important changes.
Customize time options!
Not only you can now edit time tiles — more types of “when” settings are now supported:
- in x minutes / hours;
- at specific time today, tomorrow, in x days, next Monday or other weekday, or the same day next month;
- at specific time next time — today, or tomorrow if it’s past that time today;
- tiles that take you to a time picker for today, tomorrow, in x days, or next given weekday.
Adjust title / tiles split
You can now adjust how the screen is split between title and tiles area.
You will find this useful if you have a tall screen and want to fit extra tile rows or position elements under your thumb more conveniently.
The feature is currently available through the tile editor.
Day no longer ends at midnight
From this update onward, time after midnight and before morning is treated as still being the previous day.
This is because we humans think of e.g. “tonight at 1 AM” as extension of today rather than beginning of tomorrow.
You will see this reflected in the time picker and list headers. Exceptions are exact dates, where e.g. “may 5 at 1 AM” means just that.
The morning time defaults to 7 AM and is configurable in the settings. To discard this behavior set morning time to 12 AM.
Redesigned time selection flow
No more awkward list of 15-minute-interval tiles — the HH:MM selection flow is now two-step.
Hours are now organized in columns, which start from configurable morning / noon / evening / night times.
Other
- Snooze interval for dismissing a notification is now configurable.
- Notifications for reminders without notes now show creation time as an extra piece of context.

[Pro] Improvements to calendar integration
- Creating events automatically for new reminders is now optional.
- Link and unlink reminders to calendar individually.
- Discarding an upcoming reminder will now offer to delete the event.
- Reminders with linked events now show a subtle icon in the list.
- Also comes with behavior fixes and improved error reporting.
UI improvements

- Other minor improvements and animation fixes.

[Pro] Calendar integration
Save new reminders automatically as Google Calendar events. You can now:
- receive notifications on your other devices (e.g. desktop) where you have Google Calendar set up;
- use the app to quickly add events to Calendar without keeping them in Three.do.
More options coming later.
Share to Three.do
Quickly make reminders by sharing text and notes from other apps.
Other
Added an app shortcut that takes you directly to the list.

[Pro] Introducing tile editor!
You can now customize the who/what tiles:
- add, move, remove tiles
- change text and color
- change number of columns
- add up to 100 rows and 1000 tiles per screen
and more possibilities to come soon!
Your Three.do account
Make a Three.do account and import your purchases and discounts from Google Play to activate them.
With this account you’ll be able to:
- buy once and use the features on all supported platforms in the future
- get premium features and deals in my future apps
- not lose your purchases in case the app is removed from Google Play (which is always a risk for small developers).
You’ll be asked to make an account when you activate your purchases.
Developer’s Twitter
All this time I kept working on the app but did a poor job communicating my progress. This made many of you upset, wondering if I’ve abandoned it.
To fix this, I made a Twitter @_Three.do — follow me there to get frequent and transparent dev status updates.
